President Raisi met and held talks with Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investments Sardor Umurzakov on Sunday.
Pointing to the vast capacities of cooperation between Iran and Uzbekistan in various economic fields such as agriculture, industry, transportation, energy, and tourism, President Raisi said that today, the political will of the heads of the two states is based on the comprehensive development and deepening of ties, adding that they are determined to take great steps in the path of prosperity and development of the two states by activating all capacities.
President Raisi noted that the shared capacities and facilities of the two states can be on the path to securing the interests of the two nations and the people of the region.
Referring to the deep-rooted historical and cultural commonalities between Iran and Uzbekistan, President Raisi stressed the importance of strengthening the cultural ties and interactions of the two nations, calling it a proper ground for the development of Tehran-Tashkent cooperation in other fields.
Pointing out that Tashkent has developed a roadmap for the development of bilateral relations immediately after meeting the presidents of the two countries in Turkmenistan, Sardor Umurzakov, for his part, said that in the wake of the emphasis of the Uzbek President, he has a high-level delegation of economic officials and private sector activists on the trip to examine and finalize ways to implement the roadmap for comprehensive development of ties.
